Happy Mother's Day to Mother in Germany or some other mystery country

Happy Mother's Day, honey, wherever you are! Mother's being mysterious about a day trip she and Becca are taking via Ryan Air. My guess is Paris or Dublin.

Anyway, thought Mother would at least like to see the pretty bouquet which Elena sent for Mother's Day!

Could you keep them alive until Mum comes home, Dad? I realized she was still in Germany right after I sent them.
Ooops.

Good luck with that....flowers wilt and DIE soon around home. =/

Happy Mother's Day, Mum!

Maybe you could dry them? When is Mum getting back, anyway??

DAD, if you could add 7-up or sprite to the water, becca says it helps flowers last longer.

Mum is due back Wed 5/21.

Check blog for further updates and photos!

we'll add sprite, and if that starts to fail, dry them.
poor Elena!

It also helps to give them fresh water, and trim the stems a bit to keep them longer. One week more and I will be home....

I can't believe the number of comments this generated! Dry the flowers??!!! Surely someone is not of this world. I can only imagine what they'd look like when Mom finally got home.

Dried flowers can be lovely, and some dry better than others. But try to keep them alive!
Yes, it is wonderful that we know how to converse about the truly important things in life.
Would anyone care to wager a guess as to how much chocolate one person can fit into a carry-on size suitcase?
I am testing the limits.

You are right- I am not of this world.

Dried flowers are bootiful. And last forevers.
