February Thoughts for Birthday People

"First you forget names, then you forget faces. Next you forget to pull your zipper up and finally, you forget to pull it down." --George Burns
See? Things aren't so bad yet.

"From birth to age eighteen a girl needs good parents, from eighteen to thirty-five she needs good looks, from thirty-five to fifty-five she needs a good personality. From fifty-five on, she needs good cash."
~ Sophie Tucker
I am getting awfully close to that last category....

"Looking fifty is great--if you're sixty."- Joan Rivers

"At 20 years of age the will reigns; at 30 the wit; and at 40 the judgment."- Ben Franklin

"As you get older three things happen. The first is your memory goes, and I can't remember the other two... -- Sir Norman Wisdom "

"The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age." -- Lucille Ball (Uncommon Scold, 1989, by A. Adams)

"You know you are getting old when the candles cost more than the cake." -- Bob Hope

"When our memories outweigh our dreams, we have grown old. "
Surprisingly enough, this one was attributed to Bill Clinton. We don't want to know what he dreams about, but the thought is nice.... keep dreaming!
